What is SIL?
Supported independent living (SIL) is a form of support that helps you live in your own home.
This includes help or supervision with daily tasks such as personal care or cooking. This will help you live as independently as possible while developing your skills.
Supported independent living is for people who have greater support needs and who need constant help at home.
You can have supported independent living by living with other NDIS participants. It is also possible to get supported independent living on your own, but there may be other home and housing benefits that suit you better.
About Us
Over the past 5 years AJH has predominantly worked in the positive behaviour support realm and in doing so we have seen a lot of the good the bad and the ugly. When it's good it's great but as everyone knows when it isn't, that's when the seeds are planted for bigger problems to emerge.
In response to this we decided to deliver boutique SIL services for participants who have complex needs (and those who don't too). We are now ready to expand this service to reach more participants and to better enable us to do so we have registered a new business name under AJH and would like to introduce Atypical Support Services.

We would love to meet to discuss your support needs, so feel free to visit during normal business hours. 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday.
